The “guard the corn from the does” weekend continued this morning. 2 nanny does down. Still getting over run with deer but I’m done shooting for the morning.

Edit: What I meant to say was I’m done shooting does. A big 4.5 yr old 10 point with a split brow tine walked out and I smoked him too.

Shot a small 8 pt. Probably 1.5 yr old. I thought he was just a 4 pt and wanted to let him keep walking through the brush. Hunting with my father and he saw the 8pts and thought it was bigger. Kicking myself for not letting him walk. He would be a huge deer in 2-3 years

I wasn't planning on coming to the camp this weekend being that the deer have been in lockdown mode all week. The last two evenings, I've had a shooter 10 come to the food plot that's 120 yards below me on the cell camera right after dark. The wind is in my favor and I slipped in an hour ago. Junior wanted to stay home, so I packed my bags and hit the road at 6am.
