re: James Comey: Joe Biden Should ‘Consider’ Pardoning Donald Trump

Biden or Harris will pardon Trump if he is convicted of federal crime. You can’t have a former president in prison no matter how bad the left wants it.
He will be pardoned for any state crime as well.
Getting a conviction for anything will be good enough for most of the left

Very interesting. Thanks for the info!

Mickey knows the investigations are all bullshite. So does Comey. That’s why they want them to end. They can continue to pretend Trump did something when he didn’t.

accepting pardon = admitting guilt.
That was part of the rationale in the US v Wilson case cited earlier.

He certainly could, gut there's no need.

He could try. It's never been tested in the courts so its a 50/50 shot that it would stand.

No, that’s soy boy fan fiction and you’re dumb enough to believe it

I sincerely hope that come Jan. 20th, they just stop with all the allegations/investigations/etc. with Trump. I think the country as a whole would be better off just going forward.
After four years of you supporting hoax investigations now you want unity? How convenient

I didn't say I believe it. He may be considering it or he may not even be thinking about it at all.

I never supported anything. I followed what was going on, but I was never on here cheering for anything. I said on here several times I didn't think they should have impeached him the first time and I don't think they should be doing it now either.

He just set the record for number of pointless, baseless impeachments, he may as well pardon himself.
Would set a bad precedent for Biden, though, since he has actual crimes to account for.

This is the swamp way of arranging for Trump to currently pardon the Biden's. It is the swamp way of saying don't start a spec counsel for Biden's or bring it up again and the FBI/DOJ/CIA won't go after Trump.
Then they will arrest Trump. It is a trick. It is not good will for our govt.

Pardon for what you ask? For entering the DC Swamp uninvited.....that’s against the unwritten rules of the Swamp.

It is a trick.
It is being said Trump was told by his Kevin to reach out to Joe and do the whole fake pic shaking hands letter thing.

I don't think it's going to be tested, but maybe.

Wait...the former Director of the FBI thinks the Sitting President did something worthy of being in jail, but he ALSO doesn't think it should be pursued?
What in the actual frick?
Look...I DON'T think he did anything that warrants being in jail, but if I DID I sure as shite would want him there! How the hell can we have the type of government we expect if you've got the former head of the FBI suggesting actual criminals ought not be in jail because reasons?
Completely agree, but let's be pragmatic here, maybe let DJT slip away and let some air out of the rage balloon.

Biden or Harris will pardon Trump if he is convicted of federal crime. You can’t have a former president in prison no matter how bad the left wants it.
One has to consider the massive amount of national security that would be placed at risk. A former president will always be protected, no matter what. I honestly think the only alternative would be execution, and that would be only for something as serious as extreme war crimes or genocide. There's no way they can pin anything on Trump even remotely approaching that threshold.
Notice how for Trump, once he took office, any criticism of Obama became generic "my predecessor", and even talk about Hillary, who was a former First Lady, vanished.
Any talk of prison is simply poli-speak.

Are the US Attorney Generals in these districts pursuing state charges?

Don’t you need to be guilty of something first.
