Must have been a vehicle broken down for a kid to be in the middle of the road on that stretch of Florida where there are 2 service roads on either side of the road.

There are some crappy apartments right there between Little John and Dirt Cheap. The baby could have walked out from there.

Why was a baby in the road? Charge the parents

I think you mean parent.

Nope they meant grandmother in her late 30s or early 40s if I had to guess.

I heard this on the news.. My first thought was obviously.. How the hell was a 1 year old out at 3:30AM on Florida Blvd.

Not to make light of it, but it reminds me of this Chappelle bit.

Really feel for the person that hit him. What a nightmare.

the advocate says it was the 1200 block of Florida, which is at the greyhound station, a few blocks east of I110. sounds reasonable

I think everyone should quit assuming, based on the very limited story, that the child was out on its own.

It could be, for example, something that occurred at the bus station where the child came in with someone on an early morning bus.

According to a Facebook post about this her aunt said the baby was in the care of a cousin who works in a nursing home and she was warming up her car and didn’t see the baby and a car hit the baby in a parking lot. Also from her we should stfu and not question the mom she’s a great mom.

Bc she took her eye off of the baby. It’s a hard lesson to learn but you gotta keep your eyes on them at all times.

Umm have you ever hit an animal?

Also you do realize a lot of people get in car wrecks while not drunk. They either just suck at driving, fall asleep or distracted by something like their phone.

I guess we can rule out that the child was properly restrained in a car seat
