O did a masterful job in 2019 because he remained focused, made the right moves in hiring Brady and bringing in Burrow and managed the team effectively.

2020 was a combination of significant player attrition, bad hires, unforeseen circumstances with COVID and the social unrest issues. With all of these variables O needed to be even more focused and disciplined and he became complacent and made unforced errors. Uncontrollable issues were compounded, making 2020 worse.

It looks like he's back on track with getting key players to return and making solid offensive hires. The defensive staff remains to be seen. O can get his groove back, but he has to stay focused and continue to adapt rather than settle on the comfortable.

Did he recommend working for Coach O, or did he recommend coaching 4-5 star talent at LSU?

Who brought the talent here?
Read Wikipedia on Orgeron. He has recruited great talent everywhere he has been.
When was the last time LSU had SEC caliber quarterbacks stacked.
Players coached up to start their NFL rookie season.
Biletnikoff Winners/candidates stacked.
Be appreciative!

Look at Chizik's record at Auburn compared to O's, especially SEC record. They're not even remotely the same.

As for Coker he won the Big East 3 years straight and had a 60-15 record at Miami. Better than Jimbo's record at FSU.

Jimbo only won 1 NC in 8 seasons at FSU in a weaker conference. So why not include him? Only 1 NC in 11 seasons as a HC.

Only 1 huh? You act like it is so easy to do. Give us a list of all the coaches that have never won one. I get it is a shot at Jimbo.

O's willingness to correct personal and hiring deficiencies give him a huge advantage over Les, but at some point the Administration will no longer deal with him embarrassing the university or paying multimillion dollar buyouts for his hiring blunders.

no, I'm factual.

My point was that national championships aren't always won by great coaches. Sometimes lesser coaches sneak in when they catch lightning in a bottle, like Chizik with Cam Newton and Gus.

Coach O will be the coach at LSU for a long time. Those who disagree will have to just deal with it. He has more support now than ever.

Re-read my post and what post I'm responding to because you obviously missed the point.

I don't care who the coach at LSU is as long as we win, recruit well and don't embarrass the University. I am more interested in having a team compete for a championship again soon, if that is with O great, if it's not going to be it is better to act swiftly before excess damage is done. FYI my opinion of him now is he is still recruiting well and if he can get buy in and better execution he will be right there. I would like to think this is a more universal sentiment of those that critique O than that of having a personal vendetta against him.

Opinions about Coach O are like political party affiliation, you probably won’t change one side or the other at this point, no matter what you say.

The last 2 coaches we have had would be soaring in the polls if they where running to be elected village idiot.

If we hired TOP FLIGHT head coaches at LSU, you would see results here that would make your head spin. We don't have a player problem, we have had mediocre coaching since Saban left.
I have Sunday Ticket on DirecTV. Every time I flip the channel, I hear an LSU player's name called. We have every resource needed to win consistently, and huge. If Saban, Urban, or Jimmy Johnson had been our coach since 2000, how many titles would we have. I would say 8-10, which exceeds my "crazy" expectations.
