1984 was the chosen book by the machine to become the general publics boogyman-of-the-future as to hide the more accurate story in BNW.

Sounds like he’s saying “Trust the science “ will be the cry of future dictatorships.

Yea
Yeah, I read it again a few years ago, and it is probably a better "call" of what we're facing than Brave New World, though both are pertinent. Winston Smith loved Big Brother at the end, so the notion that 1984 doesn't portray the subjects in a version of Stockholm Syndrome is inaccurate.
My favorite aspect of re-reading 1984 is the Ministry of Truth being located inside a windowless pyramid. Of course, the two main themes are the manipulation of thought through the controlling of words and the monitoring of society through Smart TVs.

No it’s not. I’m convinced most people spouting this haven’t even read 1984

Each of the big three have their accurate prophesies. I look at them combined.

I have personally witnessed the withdrawal symptoms from that shite and while it may vary from patient to patient, that crap can be extreme garbage.

I think HUxley actually looked forward to the drugged society. He hung out with Timothy Leary and spoke of it as if it was a good thing.
Leary was actually a huge proponent of consciousness expansion. He wasn’t a bad guy

Huxley was brilliant, but he didn't approach Orwell. The ministry of truth, memory holes, the 2 minutes hate, state surveillance, big brother, thought police, newspeak, doublethink, the list goes on.

If Huxley's scientific dictatorship ever came true, I suspect that many here would actually love it. You might even get your big night with Ivanka!

Orwell's total surveillance state is also very real though, as is the treatment of history and basic knowledge.
huxley and leary and that entire scene were assets of the machine
huxley was a connected member of elite society
brave new world is a world he knew was coming
