Rabideaux's Sausage Kitchen I-10 / US 165 exit 44 go South, Kinder/Iowa. The fried catfish is highly recommended. HUGE fillets, fresh, crispy, flaky, and the lunch plate was around $6 for 2 pcs. The boudin, smoked meats, andouille, tasso, cracklin, boudin balls are all really, really good.

Fezzos or Uncle T's in Scott
T's is 3 minutes off the exit.

Billy’s in Scott. Smoked boudin and a pepper jack cheese ball.
ETA: concerns about the lines are valid and I didn’t consider that. Go to the other location mentioned, but order the same things.

at lunch time ? The OP will spend 2+ hours in line just waiting to place his order. If he wants Billy's, I'd highly suggest the Lafayette location - I-49 North exit 1C Pont des Mouton. Maybe a 10 minute wait and they have seating if needed.

I picked up a spicy jalapeño and cream cheese boudin ball (among a cart full of other goodies) at the new Kartchner's in Scott coming back to Houston last week. That thing was damn delicious and I wasn't hungry again until I got to Winnie..
That place is loaded with good food..

Stopped at Bread and Circus in Lafayette once, was pretty happy.
Otherwise it's Best Stop boudin.

Buck & Johnny's in Breaux Bridge isn't too far off I-10. It's been several years since I have been but I remember it being pretty decent food.

If you are wanting to be quick I say the Darrels in Jennings. It just depends what are you looking to have. I can back on 10 in less than a half hour.

Hidden gem. This is where we stop for our Boudin rather than fighting the crazy tourist trap in Scott. Its literally 5-10 minutes North on 49.

Luna's is a decent lunch spot in downtown LC. There are other recs in the thread already that are better, except for Billy's in Scott.

Lupe tortilla beef fajitas in beaumont. A little before your request but outside of Billy’s boudin balls nothing I would prefer more.

When I am traveling, I eat loves truck stop beef jerky and boudin. There is just something about it that makes sense.

Dwyers is pretty good if you don’t mind a few minute drive off I10 into downtown Lafayette.
