The more rules you need......the more you need to look closer at your members

We have 10 members on 600 acres. 4 of these actually hunt and the others hunt occasionally. Some just use camp as a place to get out of town. The point of my post was to get some general guidelines before I came up with a list to present to the camp. This is my family's land and all of the members have been approved by me and are friends of mine. Really looking to get ahead of any issues before they arise. I appreciate the feedback and think I will be able to go through the post and get what I need. Thank you for everyone's input. The first thing is first though we need a pool table and a traveling stripper...

Here is the list of rules at our camp. Some of it has changed since we dropped the DMAP. We only had it for the doe tags, but now we can kill 3 does per person, so it didn't make sense to keep paying for it.

My favorite part...mooching alcohol off other members is discouraged.

This thread reminds why I’ll never join a club. I’ll keep saving some money and hunting other places.

I sneak into tenfoes camp, see where people aren’t hunting, and hunt there

It’s fool proof

If you think I'm hunting where my pin is rather than strategically putting a pin where I want people to think I am while also keeping them from messing me up you are mistaken.

Poker chips with stand numbers everyone hunting draws. Only truly fair way. Can do this as a once a weekend draw or for each hunt

#18 - who defines drunkenness? Is it BAC for driving or stripping down to one’s underwear and sitting on a four wheeler acting like your riding a bull?
Cus if I can’t ride bulls and dance with shovels at a fire pit I don’t care how nice the club is I don’t really want to join.

What's a doe strap? It costs extra to shoot does?

That was from the DMAP days. You had to use a doe strap on does killed on the lease. Each member got 1 strap and I believe you could buy extras for $200 IIRC.

All stands belong to a member and they were responsible for the up keep. club pays for plots and fertilizer.

You had until 0515 to mark one of your personal stands if it was not marked by that time it’s an open stand and can be marked by any club member

It worked well and was fair, but we had a president that his word was law period. He worked out all disputes.

That's the way it needs to be. A hunting club has to be run like a dictatorship.
