but they have no business being in this spot.

Who really does in this wonky year?

The teams lucky enough to be Covid free all year and their games weren't cancelled or they didn't have to sit half their team?

Or the teams that had more relaxed Covid protocols and therefore got to play more games?

Or teams that got to play at full strength all year and more games therefore ironing out the kinks?

There's no deserve this year when every Conference was playing by different rules. Blaming the Big10 for changing their protocols or rules is lame when the SEC had the weakest protocols and rules to start with. Big10 was basically, frick nobody gives a shite...let 'em play.

There's no deserving this year. Just which teams were talented and uber lucky with Covid and lucky with which Conference they were in.

who deserved the spot in lieu of OSU?

No one, and these A&M frickwads need to find another game to play. The SEC has performed terribly outside of Alabama this year, and A&M’s best win just got obliterated by a team that lost to Kansas State and their second-best win just got butt fricked by Northwestern.

I really don’t understand why Aggie fans wanted a rematch with Bama so much.

This is the same committee that put Notre Dame in the final 4. I wouldn’t be citing them as geniuses.

Again the 4th tram was likely a slaughter no matter who it was. Looking back after the fact maybe OU was better but not deserving

Reading some of these melts you’d think that Clemson lost because they were just so physically exhausted from playing all those extra games.

OSU’s cancellations were Rutgers, Maryland and a shitty Michigan team. It’s not like they got to skip a gauntlet of tough games

Playing Citadel, BC, Ga Tech at the beginning I’m sure was so taxing on Clemson. It’s a miracle they even made it to the playoffs going thru that stretch

Sorry the voters weren’t impressed with the 13 points your offense scored against the 126th ranked defense and that your signature victory was fool’s gold. Just be thankful that it saved you from another arse whipping from Bama.

Joe Biden has a lot in common with them.

I'd love for one of you Aggies to lay out your case for being in over anyone in the top four.

Credit to them for winning tonight, but they had no business in this game.

You’re full of shite. There is a pandemic going on. Everyone is changing rules. There is ONE criteria for getting in the playoff: be one of the four teams the committee thinks are the four best. Did Ohio meet that criteria? Hell yes! Did they back it up on the field? They sure did. I am very thankful that the committee didn’t put some shitty team, like A&M or Cincinnati, in there, so we could see more blowouts.

The Big 10 can no longer claim to take the high road.

It's not a case of whether OSU is one of the 4 best teams. They clearly are.

But whether they deserved to be is reasonably debatable. Their leadership decided they wanted them in, so they changed their own rules midstream.

This "ends justifies the means" mentality will have lasting implications for CFB and their own members. In fact it already is, as Indiana stripped the Big 10 logo off their uniforms for today's bowl game.
