Another Bham resident chiming in. Same as y’all. Most businesses it is rare to see someone without. I don’t make my younger kids wear one and no one has said anything to us yet. One is 7 and the other 2. 7 year old has a couple of masks and I’ll make him wear it entering the store, but if he takes it off once inside I’m not worried about it.

My days are spent around the B’ham metro area. I stay on the road daily and almost always eat at various restaurants daily as well. One thing I have noticed is probably 90+% of people follow the mask rules.
Agree with this. What’s funny is that as soon as you get outside of Jeff County, masks go away.

What are you seeing in regards to masking in public areas?
That the black community has completely given in to fear. They have them terrified. Old and young wearing masks everywhere. Even while driving...

I'm 60 miles up I-59 from you Darth.
I've noticed that when not required to,more than 50 % don't.
I see that when I go get a paper in the morning at the Gas Station.Everywhere else requires them.

Don't know what it is going to take for people to accept that this is futile.
There isn't a single thing you can do to change the minds of the Most Holy Church of the Masked Covidian.
Wearing a mask is their religion, and scolding those who don't is now their life's purpose.
It will never end with them.

Working a lot in Sumner County this year, I observed that nobody really cared if you had one on. 10mins down the road in Nashville we can’t even have fireworks thanks to our chicken shite mayor.
Always get a good laugh out of somone when I have to wear:

Yup. I’m seeing a lack of American Baws walking into stores maskless. Yet our moronic leaders double down on “mask up”. shite is infuriating.
To think that millions of people have it, and its all of a sudden going to go away without draconian like measures, is absurd. All boils down to hospitals being understaffed, so big daddy CEO can get his bonus

I noticed the same thing- almost 100% adherence. It like a new “fashion fad” for them.

Lots of idiots wearing them only over their mouths not over their noses. Overall just not very bright.
I mean if you are going to wear one why not wear it correctly?
Not that I am advocating wearing one or not wearing gone, just pointing out there are a lot of dumbasses out and about.

Where I'm at most people are not wearing unless required to do so, such as medical settings, government buildings, etc.
For the most part stores are not requiring it and the only people I see wearing them in public settings are the elderly. People are staying apart from each other however, I have not seen anyone violating the 6 foot rule much.

A lot of people are wearing them......and they simply aren’t working.

Yep.
I've seen it in my personal life.
Yet, these same Black people I know are still obese. They still don't exercise or eat decent. It blows my mind. The concern regarding "health" and ignoring measures which would aid their health in multiple ways.

Exercising and eating right takes effort. Wearing a mask doesn't.
There's your answer.

I don't mind wearing them as much in the winter as I did during the summer.
I think most people in New Orleans will continue wearing masks until about May. When schools let out and it gets hot, then I expect a drop off.

I've been to Cullman, all over the Shoals and Florence area, Huntsville, and Decatur in the past week and a half, and what you say just isn't true.

100%
I also agree with others who've said it's become a fashion statement.

I am in the Mecca of woke rednecks, Louisville, KY..... ‘Karen’ will be on your arse in a heart beat if you dare to step out in public without a mask...... Drove thru Mississippi a few weeks ago and stopped for gas. You would have thought I had 2 heads by the looks of the other patriots when I put my mask(gaitr mask to pacify the ‘Karen’s’) on to walk in the store.

I live in hotspot Albany, GA. The vast majority of people are smart enough to wear masks. Many of the others get sick and infect others.
