Divinity literally quit the team till it was clear we could make the playoffs.

So underutilized this season. One of my big complaints was not lining up in the I formation with three tight ends in a true goal line formation more this season. Could have beaten Mizzou imo had we tried it.

This is some dumb sh*t. You should check out the depth chart before asking to trot out 3 TEs in any game or situation this year.

Would love to hear your other biggest complaints from the season.

If it means that I will not be playing football for LSU next year, I hereby declare that I will be making myself available for the NFL draft.

After being suspended so many times, he has no other option but to declare.
Won’t get drafted but should become a UDFA with somebody.

More than that, it’s the positioning of the RB in the gun that drives me crazy. Offset him so he can get a downhill start, and it’s easier to have a lead blocker at wing/H.

It takes a very specifically talented back to just take handoffs from right next to the QB and consistently make plays. Just so happens we had the perfect back for that in CEH, but you can’t count on that every year.

I've always felt having the RB at the same level as QB was awkward also. Of course many teams (including LSU in 2019/20) use it very effectively, so it does work.

Seems like years ago we ran a formation called the pistol where the QB was a little closer to the line which provided a bit of an offset.

Thank you sooo much Tory. I'm absolutely so glad you played for us. For a couple of years, I knew where you went, so was the RB and they still couldn't stop us. You blew them up big time.
Wishing you nothing but the best for you're future. Hope you have a Healthy, Happy and PROSPEROUS New Year!

We'll surely miss his eye black, his unsportsmanlike 15 yards per game and his suspensions due to weed.

We’ve swung too far in the other direction from the CLM era - need to find some balance and reimplement some power running to complement the passing game.

I agree in terms of not going shotgun on the goalline for 4 straight plays or 4th and short but that's about it.

yes, it needs to be in our playbook and used in those situations, but not a part of our regular offense.

Divinity did the work he needed to and was ready to play in the playoffs. He could have quit but he didn’t.

I feel like he could be a good LB

I agree. He was a hell of a fullback. Tough as nails and could blow up people. Would have loved to have seen him at LB (if he could have made the switch as a freshman or maybe just have been recruited as a LB). By the time we switched to an offense that doesn't use a FB it was to late in his career to make that kind of move. He moved pretty good, looked strong, and seemed to love to knock the crap out of people and was good at doing that.

The Saints use a FB... as do many other teams.

Divinity got a six game suspension midway through his senior year. He didn’t originally realize that he could serve the suspension and rejoin the team for the playoffs.

He should stay!! More experience and maybe a chance at more touches in the offense with a NEW OC.
