I received mine (Pfizer) this past Sunday. The second shot is in two and half weeks. I experienced very mild arm soreness but no other side effects. Anyone else receive it yet?

I'll be getting it. Just like we did with polio. (we found a vaccine and no one died of polio anymore.)

Wife got it Friday, No side effects or arm soreness.

I've heard it makes you feel like you have it for a few hours-day.

Not to rain on your parade but medical mistakes kill between 250k-400k per year.

Not being a guinea pig for a rushed vaccine

Fair enough. I work in a hospital and have seen a number of colleagues, friends, and family members contract the disease. Still, my decision to receive the vaccination was less about personal safety (I kind of feel that if I haven’t contracted it by now given my level of exposure, I must not be very susceptible to it) and more about trying to aid in the effort to return to some sort of normalcy as quickly as possible.

Gonna let all of you fools get it first while I sit back and watch.
According to the NY Times, where am I in line for the vaccine, I'm near the end of the US population. If I could use the alphabet to describe where, I'm X or Y in the back of the line.

If you have a better plan for ending this shite we’ve been going through for 9 months, I’m all ears. I’m just leaving the hospital and it’s still pretty full of Covid patients, some in their 20s. Perhaps all of the people receiving the vaccine are fools and will suffer for it, but at least they are trying to do something.

Can you guarantee there are no long term, damaging effects from a vaccine that was created, tested and deployed in less than a year?
Like I said, I'm in the bottom 5% of the US population in getting the vaccine. You, and those who need it now because they are less healthy, older or need it for their jobs (healthcare) can get it. I'll wait.

Both are likely very slim, but the vaccine being mRNA would be exponentially less risky than covid-19
We have also had 700,000 vaccine recipients now with 0 deaths and 5 hospitlizations(allergic reactions)
At 700,000 covid cases we had 4,000 deaths and over 20,000 hospitalizations
So, that’s the data, so what you wish. But if you don’t take the vaccine, you are going by your gut and emotion, not data. Similar to those irrationally afraid of the virus

There is very little in life that is guaranteed besides death and taxes. If we wait until we have a guaranteed answer, this thing will drag on for years.

I'm not high priority.
Like I said, I can wait.

Hopefully, the unknown effects of covid-19 dont get too many people who had the opportunity to get the vaccine and didn’t take it
I see a lot about “what if I take the vaccine and something happens?”
But a lot less of “what if I chose not to take the vaccine and I get covid and something happens”
