I got the second dose last Tuesday around 0900. Around 2100 that night I started feeling pretty damn bad with headache, body aches, and chills. It lasted a solid 24 hours and improved rapidly after those 24 hours. I felt great the next morning. I had zero problems with the first dose and I have never had COVID. I don't regret getting it, but there are side effects, and from what I have heard from others that have received the second dose, what I experienced is not uncommon after the second dose. I could barely get out of bed the day after receiving my second dose. I still think it's a good idea for most people to get it, but just know that it's very possible to feel bad after - especially after that second dose.

Eye Damage in Severe Cases?
Everything I've been told from the people I work with is the risk of long term side effects is greater from Covid 19 than from the vaccine. We're damned if we do and damned if we don't potentially either way.

The people I know that have gotten the second dose, so far, have not reported significant side effects or reactions. 3 of my neighbors are also in healthcare (2 are physicians) and said nothing bad. Some localized pain in the arm from the injection. Maybe feeling "a little puny" later on, but nothing severe in terms of reactions. Clearly one can have a reaction, particularly to the second dose, so it's going to be a risk we need to consider. But the risk of Covid 19 and getting a severe case, is one most will consider the worse of the alternatives.

Yup. Got it a couple of weeks ago. Mild arm soreness and that was it.

I don’t plan on taking it. I’m not a high risk. Also, the vaccine has become more about politics than wellness. I don’t feel like I can trust the advice of a lot of people. I’m just going to keep doing what I can to stay healthy and fit.

People are entitled to make their own decisions on this. Not saying some won't get it for various reasons and that can be understandable. Not my place to say people should or shouldn't get it.
Personally, I'm going to rely on what physicians and the leading healthcare organizations like Mayo Clinic are reporting.
I know a physician that's been involved in some of the trials. The vaccines thus far are proving to be effective and have a great safety profile. They are seeing a handful of very rare events that are in association with vaccines, but there is not a good sense of causation yet. Appears to be rare and could occur in some people post-disease as well.
There is great support for getting the vaccine in the medical community. Also felt like the scrutiny around their development has been remarkably tight.
Completely off subject, but this guy (not a physician) seems to do a very good job or breaking some things down:

At 700,000 covid cases we had 4,000 deaths and over 20,000 hospitalizations
Bad data input leads to bad data output. With testing parameters all over the board, we cannot say with confidence that those numbers are true.
There needs to be a concurrent massive T-cell testing to find out if people already had it and have natural immunity. That makes too much sense for government though so it wont be put into practice.

I had an 82 year old client with emphysema and heart failure. He died. Covid was listed as cause of death.
