What else is there to say? Some variation of the vaccine has been developed since very early this year.

It wasn't hard.

So, if the vaccine is at a considerably lower death and considerably lower severe case rate of the virus at that time, what is the logical reason to not take the vaccine?

I would rather get COVID-19 than not, because this is a relatively mild virus, and I think it's good for the body to learn to fight cold viruses.

The only reason I don't want it now is because you have to quarantine if you get it.

To me, the main reason I have seen so far is "lack of data"

Well, the data in March will be greater for the vaccine than the virus

So, those people should be good to go, right?

I’m 40 & healthy & should have no issue with the virus if I catch it
If for some reason I have to go to the hospital I have health insurance that I pay for to cover it
I do not work in an office or deal with the public

Ok these seem like reasons why you arent afraid of covid.

But what is your reason for not taking the vaccine?

Neat.

The alternatives are:

Enough people get the vaccine and we can go back to normal at some point sooner.

or

Not enough people get the vaccine and we are stuck in this government mandated shithole forever

I don't understand your point. I was referring to the different ones in development. We have had the Pfizer one since March. The time has taken to test it and see if it is effective and safe.

I don't really have any reason to not get it other than I'm not worried about covid.

Enough people taking the vaccine allows us to have mask mandates lifted.

Not enough people getting the vaccine keeps us with mask mandates.

Name another vaccine that has been declared safe inside 12 months. I’ll wait

reasonable question... I think the lack of time tested and data are my main reasons.

For me, personally I look at it this way. I've had some pretty healthy friends who have long-term symptoms from the virus. I have a couple pre-existing conditions that would put me at higher risk of hospitalization and I can't really afford that. I also live with and help care for immunocompromised people. I work with the public.

Unless we begin to see severe reactions in larger numbers from the vaccine, I don't see any reason for me not to take it.

I don’t see a need for it as I am 40 & healthy
If I were told that if I got the vaccine I could go see my Grandpa anytime I wanted I would do it

Ok, fair enough if the vaccine was available to you today

But in March, when it is available to you, you will have more data on the vaccine and everything it entails then you will on covid-19 the virus
