By March, roughly 50 million Americans will have taken the covid-19 vaccine

Currently, 16 million americans have documented cases of Covid-19
So, when the time comes around for the general public to take the vaccine, there will be more data on the vaccine and its dangers than Covid-19 the virus
So, if the vaccine is at a considerably lower death and considerably lower severe case rate of the virus at that time, what is the logical reason to not take the vaccine?
Lack of data? Well it will have more data than the virus actually
Unknown long term? Well the virus is in that boat as
well
So what is a good reason?
So, when the time comes around for the general public to take the vaccine, there will be more data on the vaccine and its dangers than Covid-19 the virus

What number do we need to have a realistic chance at herd immunity assuming the vaccine works as advertised and there are no significant mutations?
