Wonder what those people did exactly. Was talking to a client of mine on Monday. He has been on set. They were being tested twice daily. Cost the production about $180K per day extra for all the testing. He said that was normal protocols right now.

That doesn't sound like that Scientology has pacified his spirit very much. He might need up his donations.

This is such an absurd straw man that it’s actually a non sequitur.

Because they’re awesome. Even MI2 is so bad it’s good.

Wow, that seems like quite the excessive cost.

Hard to say... What IS clear is that unless some of the plebes were sitting, her was looking UP to all of them.

He’s worth millions, if not billions. I don’t think it will affect him much. ???????

Tom's a tiny, little man, but able - his issue is he believes himself capable beyond his ability (as a tough guy) because of his PR.

He'd probably be a nicer guy if someone just shoved a boom mic up his butt and said, "I quit".

Problem is people idolized these buffoons.

Yep and he is the writer. He said they just didn't want to get shut down as that would end up costing even more.

I get his point but not the tirade. Just call a quick meeting and say something like, “Listen, I don’t like these COVID protocols anymore than you do, but we absolutely have to abide by them at all times. Some of you are slacking and that can’t be tolerated. If it happens again, we will have to let you go immediately. No excuses. Does everyone understand? Good. Thank you. Okay, let’s get back to work.”

Perhaps he already had

But the tone of your little pep talk is a little naive for a big budget movie set. The stakes are much higher than what your example would suggest.
