What's my best bet on getting stock rifle ammo? 6.5....243...30-06. I've been looking for a month.

I'm in NELA. My job involves some traveling. I've been buying a box or two at a time at Spotted Dog in Columbia, and at Simmons in Bastrop.
Simmons has had plenty of every caliber I've looked for save 6.5 Grendel. Not always the particular cartridge, but always the caliber.

I’ve had to hit up the small retailers outside of the major city I’m in to find anything.
Usually can find 5.56 in 55 and 62 along with 9 mm and other calibers.

Also, it will take you a couple of weeks, but there is a guy that you can get it from.
His stuff is custom and extremely good. He has two of the cartridges you asked about (.243 and 6.5cm)

Academy in Katy had 6 boxes of 308 yesterday. $1 per round.

Brand new Academy that was built close to the house in North Dallas. I was going 2-3x a week and getting stuff every time. I went this morning and there were 50 people lined up outside before they opened. My honey hole is dead.

Built my son a 224 Valkyrie AR and amazingly ammo for it is in stock everywhere. It’s about like a .243 with the 88 Gr Hornady ammo. He has killed4 deer with it so far.

243 I have seen at Academy and online much more frequently than the other calibers you mentioned. It's all scarce, but 243 seems less scarce.

Yep, I need to stock up on 300 aac blk...found some online and bout some...hurting my wallet for sure. I don’t shoot it a ton but I’d still like to have a lot more. Got ballistic tips bc I want to shoot some deer with it.
