I think the manner of death matter's too. Think about it.
Lennon - murdered
Elvis - drugs; heart attack @ 42 y/o
Diana - car chase/crash
Michael - OD
Kobe - helicopter crash

The ones that are sudden and/or violent always have the most impact.

Robin Williams and Phillip Seymour Hoffman both got to me emotionally. Probably my 2 favorite actors of all time.

The worst for me as far as celebrities I don't personally know would be Shaq.

When the big guy goes, I'm going break down crying I think.

Although this wouldn't be a shock given her age, it will absolutely be the biggest death of this next decade.

Yep, and his name will probably be remembered longer by half the population.

I've been living lately with this fear of waking up one morning to sad news about Shaq.

He doesn't appear to be particularly healthy lately, and I'm quite sure he is well over 400lbs.

Kobe was a big name, but not everyone follows basketball. He didn’t play college ball, so he doesn’t even have some alumni base to mourn him. I haven’t a moments thought about it since that week.
