Dude would be tossed and police/cps would be called. That was an assault, not a near assault like others here are insinuating.

this behavior being so commonplace (and accepted) is what leads to 13 year olds going to school with .22s and graduating doing carjackings with glocks with drums by 17

Little young for that kind of treatment even by 1970's standards

If your old man had to “brawl” with you and wasn’t absolutely obliterating you in 2 seconds flat when you stepped up to him at age 12, he’s gotta’ be the biggest pussy on the planet.

Dude was just banned from coaching for life.

on a positive note, that kid took two shots and stayed on his feet. future champion of the world right there.

Now this is basically the mentality of the posters on this board. But not in this case. And you know why you're getting majority downvotes right? Yea.

quote:yeah, at 50 years old and pretty settled, there are only like 2 or three things that I would get excused to fight over...that would be one of em. And I would sneak him and crow hop his arse, because I would need to get it over pretty quick.
Not many dads are wired to not physically intervene there. I'm no super badass, but I'd probably snap if that was my kid. That was a full punch.

no place for that at that age - my high school coaches did some bad shite to us and we did not think twice because we could handle it - this guy needs to been charged with battery and banned from ever coaching

Pretty commonplace in some communities. Learn early on violence is the answer.

Has Roger ever made a substantive post on this site?

First of all he’s not a coach.
Second of all he would’ve left the field only on a stretcher.
