And the Confederacy is still ripe in people's minds. If you truly want to move forward as a society then fricking drop all this "muh reparations" "muh injustice" bullshite. The same people who say this shite are the same people letting a nonexistent government control their minds, fricking tools if I've ever seen one.

People piss me off baws.

It is certainly ripe in your mind since you posted about a 155 year anniversary.

I would be glad to throw a few bucks to anyone impacted by the civil war 155 years later. Or even in the last 55 years. Or 25 years.

You grandparents were certainly, and your parents were probably, alive when the last known public lynching occurred in the United States.

Our country's sins related to slavery, racism, and caste didn't disappear in 1865.

I purchased some really cool American Civil War characters complete with rebel flags for the confederate soldiers at an antique store today.

Has the Trump flag replaced the confederate flag as the preferred symbol of white supremacy?

Our country isn’t alive, as such, it cannot have “sins”

I meant it in the colloquial, literary sense, not the literal religious sense. But you knew that.

What a ree ree. I was alive when the I-phone was invented. This does not make me, or my ancestors, responsible for it. It also does not give me am ATM card to Steve Jobs account.

I know it’s improper to assume.

We aren’t perfect, but for all of our faults, chattel slavery has been eliminated in western society. Not so in other parts of the world.

Most of the people who were lynched were white.
