Has anyone been treated worse than the cruise industry?

Airplanes pack people in like sardines. A cruise is a floating hotel(hotels can have people) and they can't operate because the CDC has become the JBE of their industry. I feel bad for them, their employees, and anyone who enjoys taking this type of vacation

Yeah, but it’s not like cruise ships haven’t had a shitty (literally) history of being vectors for disease in general.

the exclusive black cruises 'til the mid-1800's had a horrible customer care rep

AMC will probably end up filing bankruptcy.

Probably. The theater by my house is selling tickets for $1 on Sundays to get people there

It’s all for good reason, it’s a busy, confined small area with lots of people .The first cruise back to the Caribbean was last week and someone tested positive for the virus after just a few days on the boat.

A passenger aboard the first cruise ship to set sail in the Caribbean since the start of the pandemic has tested positive for coronavirus, according to a reporter traveling on the ship.
Gene Sloan, a cruise writer for The Points Guy, said in a post on Wednesday that the captain of the SeaDream 1 made a shipwide announcement alerting guests to the positive case and asked that everyone return to their rooms.

i may be wrong but I thought the govt got out of the cruise lines way last month. The cruise lines have chosen not to operate i think.

Cruise lines by flagging their ships offshore lost any advocacy on their behalf.

I love cruises. Perfect balance of relaxation and travel. I appreciate how you don’t have to worry about food either

Me too. It's very minimal planning for a good experience. We had one planned for February but we cancelled because we don't want to deal with all the BS that will likely be required

Isn’t AMC Chinese owned? If I remember correctly. If so, I don’t feel bad for that company. It’s employees, maybe. Not the company.

Killing US flagged cruise lines also and their employees.
