We'd need to know what the foot problem was, but it could easily just be a short term thing. He'd be dropping because he wouldn't be very available as a rookie. If you draft a guy in the top 10 you usually are expecting them to be part of the rotation.

Based on the pick value scorecard I usually refer to, 13 and 24 can get you as high as 8 so Phoenix would probably do it.

We could probably do 13 and our 2 2nds

Last year:
Wolves traded 11 (Cam Johnson) and Saric for 6 (Culver)
Sixers traded 24 (Ty Jerome) and 33 (Carson Edwards) to get to 20 (Matisse Thybulle)
Grizzlies traded 23 (Darius Bazley) and a 2024 2nd to get to 21 (Brandon Clarke)
I'd say all those teams are pretty happy about those trades to move up.
2018:
Suns traded 16 (Zhaire Smith) and their Heat unprotected 21 1st for 10 (Mikal Bridges)
Clippers traded 12 (Miles Bridges), Cleveland 2020 2nd, and their 2021 2nd for 11 (SGA)
I'd say both of those teams are very happy about trading up.
2017:
Blazers traded 15 (Justin Jackson) and 20 (Harry Giles) to get to 10 (Zach Collins)
Jazz traded Trey Lyles and 24 to get to 13 (Donovan Mitchel, what a steal).
I'd say they are happy as well with those trade ups.
I think 13 and 24 should easily get you to 10, although if we could do 13 and Lakers 21 1st, which is really 22 1st, i'd prefer that, mainly b/c i want to move from 24 to 17 and i want to pick at 10 and 17.

Ainge is sitting there trying to figure out how to get a top 3 pick plus next years first without giving up anything.

ainge really does seem like the guy in your fantasy football league that thinks sending you a large quantity of mediocre shite should net him one of your best players in a trade offer
I mean hey you only need to find one fool...but seems like he only wants to engage in trades where he's the clear winner

I wonder who he wants? He’s hit on Tatum and brown.

Well considering its Bill Simmons putting the Okongwu injury info out there, a lot of people feel like its the Celtics putting that info out so he slides and they can try and move up.

Rajon Rondo is expected to receive a significant offer from the Atlanta Hawks ($15 million for two years guaranteed) but according to a source, Rondo remains focused on potentially joining the Clippers. He could possibly get the mid-level from LAC.

Atlanta, could we interest you in one Eric Bledsoe instead?

I'm not saying he's not looking around, but this almost sounds like it's aimed at the Lakers. "Pay me or Playoff Rondo will make sure the Clippers beat you."

I never know how to read NBA deals.
Does this mean:
2 years @ $15million per
or $15million deal over 2 years (~$7.5m per)?
This reads like $15million per year, but sometimes they'll put out a 4 year $80 million deal.
It's just confusing.

Kamla seemed to think $15m/season but I don't think that's right.

There should be a standard way to report deals.
It's obvious when it's a superstar, but it's harder to tell for the middle of the pack deals.
Is the team getting a good deal or are they over paying like crazy to use up some cap space?

The fact that he would rather the MLE from the Clips and leave $12-15m on the table tells me they were reading it incorectly. I'd imagine he'd get $7.5m/year in ATL

Last news I saw was a hurt toe that wasn’t supposed to impact his availability this season.
That in and of itself doesn’t make me nervous but any big showing lower body issues this young is always a red flag.
Sometimes you get Embiid and they get over them.
Sometimes you get Greg Oden and they are eternally fricked.
