And here we go....

So can trades be announced in principle starting then? Or is that later in the week?

It depends on whether the trade is happening on this year's books or next year's books. If it's on next year's books then it probably wouldn't actually go through until Sunday, when signings can happen. They can be announced as soon as they're agreed to though.
I also would think if a top 10 draft pick is involved that isn't #1, it probably isn't agreed to until draft day like last year's deal with the Hawks. So I'm not expecting any actual news on a Jrue trade until Wednesday.
Don't plan to get much work done Wednesday Sons.

That’s why I was wondering. If the trade ends up more player centric then the earlier it gets announced the better because that probably means we were blown away by the offer. If it ends up being pick centric then we’ll probably find out when our trade partner is on the clock.

Might as well make this the NBA trade rumors thread also

The Lakers are engaged in active talks on a deal to acquire Oklahoma City’s Dennis Schröder, which would send No. 28 pick in Draft to the Thunder, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Lakers guard Danny Green and the No. 28 overall pick have been a focus of the trade discussions for Schroder, sources tell ESPN.

I both like it and don't. On the one hand they'd be burning their last available asset on an expiring player. On the other hand he's expiring which possibly helps the Lakers with cap space next off season. We really need Klutch to come through with the big money for KCP and Jeannie to get her boy toy Kuzma paid.

Not great for us that they add competent players for nothing

Wasnt he the guy that was facing jail time a couple seasons ago? What happened to that?

The trend of teams giving up good players to title contenders for next to nothing continues

I can't find confirmation that Green is in the deal

it’s literally in woj’s report LOL
speaking of OKC, there’s no way they put SGA up for bid right?

Pelicans have made it known they want another top-10 pick in any package for Jrue. What’s interesting is that while most of the teams in the top 10 are open to deals, I’ve heard a lot of them also want to move up. They’re open to going up or down, or out, in some instances.
Matt Moore
so let’s see who can go get a top 10 pick.
will be interesting what that costs, and whether pels fans would rather have that than the pick

I’m so curious of who the Pelicans are targeting in the top 10.
