Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. Ketchup and extra pickles only.

Shared an order of fries and had a few sips of my dude's peach lemonade.

Each of us are given only so many days, so we should spend them doing what makes us happy. This was my attitude today.

For lunch, I traveled 60 years back to one of my first scout camping trips, which was in the national forest east of Hollandale, MS for a campout in the snow. Our patrol's lunch one of the days we were there was a half can (each) of Spam and some yellow mustard.

Having risen quite a bit in my culinary sophistication, I cooked today's Spam, but otherwise it brought back good memories of those simpler, carefree times.

For dinner, we had a chaffle with zero carb maple syrup and a sausage patty.

I had a diet Dr. Pepper with mine. Can you decipher the coded message on the spam?

I made sausage and wrapped them in a tortilla with a little mustard. Had a side of rice.

Also side note: our friend, Tulanelsu, recommended trying the great value brand smoked oysters yesterday. Being 98 cents I was very skeptical but I am cheap and was at Walmart and figured why not. So I got home and open the can and threw them on a great value tortilla chip and was very surprised. It was a decent little snack.

I’ve enjoyed fried spam on a few scout trip myself...for my boys.

Scouting kicked me out as a Bear for bad behavior around 50 years ago...

Trying to be healthy again, cutting down carbs and sugar, etc.

Bought one of those big trays of assorted thin cut chops at Wally World. Yellow sticker, so like 7 bucks for quite a few.

Ate them all. I’ll be healthier tomorrow.

Bear is a rank in cub scouts. Would be a pleasure to hear that story. It takes a lot of bad to get thrown out as a cub scout!
