I guess it’s because it’s the remake which they purposefully got more black voices for. Shoehorned in IMO

Because Scar (white man Jeremy Irons, who once played a UN Policeman) murders Mufasa (unarmed black man James Earl Jones). Simba bides his time and returns as a teenager with some buddies to do a revenge killing.

Factually, since all black men will be murdered, innocent and unarmed, by white policemen, the story is simply an allegory for every black man's life.

At least that's what I heard.

Had no idea there were “black” lions. I never understood this. Who gives a frick what race the people in the story are. If it’s a good story, it’s a good story.

As a form of venting I suppose there will be a massive increase with the racist threads.

Anyone ever stop to think about who Nala's father is?

The only males in the pride were Mufasa and Scar so...

Physically superior physiques. Setting is closer to the origin of man, as opposed to genetic derivatives. IMHO

Should I be explaining to my daughter that Doc McStuffins is a "black" story? I feel like she's never made note of the race of the cartoon character. Apparently she should be

It’s not. It’s just a feel good story about a bunch of Lion animals.

They made it a point to go as black as possible with the voice actors. I think Seth Rogan as Pumba may be the only white guy in the main cast. Don't quote me on that though.

More than likely, the animated version will not be under that subsection.

Because James Earl Jones does a voice over in it? Is Madagascar on the list? Because that is part of Africa. If not, then you can eliminate the Africa theory.
