Southeastern Student hit and killed in crosswalk? Can anyone confirm?

Just got word from an old HS buddy that he heard a student was hit by a vehicle and died behind Fayard Hall. Absolutely horrible if true, prayers up...

At my Graduate Assistanship right now and I haven't heard anything about this. I work in the Nursing building that is a block away from Fayard.

Coworker with kid at school there said there was an ambulance and police cars on campus a few hours ago, but didn’t know what was going on

Very nice building. Wouldn't recognize the campus now, hell I graduated less than 10 years ago and it looks way different than it did when I was there.

My niece was attending and I had to bring her fridge to her dorm.. Campus looks totally different in a good way. Hell, I stayed in the old Livingston and Hammond halls. They were torn down before she got out of grammar school...
Only buildings I recognized, besides the old campus was Taylor hall and the old infirmary..
D Vickers and the Library obviously, but the student union is completely different.
