I was waiting on a Lyft yesterday, driver drove by and cancelled because I didn’t have a mask on all without telling me. I then go to find a new driver and had to photo myself with a mask on before it would let me call a Lyft. This is in Georgia.

Because Trump wouldn’t wear one initially.
If Trump has come out and said everyone should wear a mask and social distance and shut everything down, the media and the left would scream that it somehow was racist and targeted minorities or subjugated women.

Because it allows them to project their phony devotion to science and portray opponents as anti-science yahoos. And because it allows them to exert more social control. It's the perfect expression of the Leftist mind. Whether it is effective or not is totally irrelevant.

They favor "do as I say" government when THEY are the ones in control. There is simply no deviation allowed from their conclusions. Thus, you not acting on their conclusions must be squashed.
