Does SFP still do interviews with posters? You’re my top choice.
Also, I had to get on anxiety medicine years ago for a bridge phobia. It’s no fun. Thankfully, they don’t bother me (too much) anymore.

Did you stop and feed the squirrels at the Bixby Bridge? We stopped there on a trip from San Fran down to L.A. We had a bag of California walnuts my wife bought at the market the day before we headed down the Pacific Coast Highway. We stopped at the Bixby overlook. Some people were feeding the squirrels potato chips and stuff. I asked the wife for the bag of walnuts and tossed a couple to the squirrel nearest me. As soon as I did that at least a dozen of them came from underneath rocks and behind bushes and accosted me for nuts. The little potato chip asian girl with her father was laughing but I wasn't. Being surrounded at close quarters by dozens of nut crazed squirrels was a little unsettling. The situation could have turned violent at any moment. The fat ring leader stood in front of me, three nuts in his mouth, a huge one in his left paw and his right paw outstretched towards me, demanding tribute. I handed him another golden walnut, then scattered the remains of the bag to the rest of his gang and ran for the shelter of our rental car. The fat one gave a signal and they disappeared back into the shadows. All I'm saying is be careful.

Really enjoyed the walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, and the view of the city and Alcatraz were great. It was definitely more pleasant than the over-crowded walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, but not as much history.

I believe this dude (Tulane LSU) got quite a bit of Norman Bates in him.

Friends,
The deeply spiritual and majestic beauty of Muir Woods cannot be easily caught with a camera....but I tried. Also I have attached a favorite pic I took of the Golden Gate Bridge from across the bay.

San Francisco and so much of California’s potential is wasted because of the affinity those poor people have for huge sprawling governments.

I have quite a few regrets from when I was sent out to Silicon Valley for work as we dodged hurricanes. Went from driving my own Taurus to driving a rental Expedition. They flew us out the Thursday before labor day and were told we could do whatever we wanted. Saturday I drove a few of us over that Oakland Bridge. I wish I had driven the Golden Gate route into SF and Bay Bridge out. Sucked I couldn't enjoy the scenery on the way in and just wanted to get out of that eastbound lower bridge on the way out. Also passed up driving the PCH down to the Reagan library. We spent an afternoon in Monterrey and saw the sunset but it wasn't quite the same.
Funny thing is that I didn't have any "get me out of here" anxiety while in the Holland Tunnel driving into Manhatten. Again regret not going over another famous bridge (Brooklyn) on the way out.
