Why do all government run programs suck?

Had a package incoming that needed a signature.
POS of USPS driver sticks a note saying nobody was home in the mailbox. No knock at the door. Just walk out to see the car speeding off.
Raised hell in the post office and nobody gave a shite.
Anyone who wants wide scale government run healthcare can DIAF. Government workers are lazy POS

The govt is inherently bloated and wasteful.
That’s what happens when you print your own money and don’t have to worry about profit or staying in business.

Least common denominator plus the need for a million supervisors and bloat for no reason. It’s structured to be about as poorly run as possible.

The USPS is surprisingly efficient, given their fluctuating and heavy work load. Also Medicare works well from what I hear. But yes, there is a ton of government waste. But the government does some things effectively.

Government employees is the reason. They don't hire the brightest folks. Remember Geico insurance starts off with Government Employee

Because if the government fixed problems, they would be out of job fairly quickly.
Hence, they need to suck.

No incentives of consequence and precious few consequences for being a knucklehead

Did you not take a civics class. Govt is by design beaurocratic. Beaurocratic organizations are usually the least efficient.

I have seen a few post office folks who are good workers and genuinely have a positive attitude. 70592 and 70508 each have one or two.
For the rest it’s just the security of a pension that makes you stop caring.

No productivity incentives = govt run healthcare. Why would anyone choose to work harder than they need to? If you get paid 200k to see 20 patients vs 40 patients why would you do more?
Instead of doing productivity incentives, the govt. would choose to either hire more providers at a higher cost (salary, pension, benefits) and just continue to throw more money at the problem.
