I would call LSU the leader as of now

Who knows. But last year Joe and Joe made LSU look like the place to be for any QB. This year MB is progressing but the offense does need some work. We are willing to sling it.
Now, look at what Kiffin is doing at Ole Miss. Still a couple yrs out but the Lane Train is picking up some steam if he gets them winning.

The Mannings know football. Give them credit for that.
And Jimmy Burrow owned a landscaping company where his two older sons went to went to work after dropping out of high school?

Yeah, just ask Joe Burrow

Joe Brady isn’t here anymore.

None. So we all need to stop posting about him.
I’m going to keep posting about him if for no other reason than to piss you off.

IMO we need to be in the playoffs next year for him to continue seeing us as a viable option. Obviously this season is going to look very poorly for us, but if O can right the ship next year we have a great shot to get him.

Manning didn’t win shite at Ole Miss, and he did great in the NFL. Why do you think we have to be in the playoff to be considered?
The NFL doesn’t draft or not draft a player just based off his college team’s success.

He could "be his own man" and go somewhere else, too.

Archie: Anywhere but LSU.
People who say this think everyone is as stupid as they are.
The Mannings view football as big business. They don't give two shits about the rah rah stuff.
I'm not saying Archie and his sons will decide where Arch goes, but they will advise him to go to the school (or schools) that have:
1. A style of offense that will help him get to the pros.
2. A stable coaching staff that promises to be there for his three years.
3. A good QB coach who can teach him well.
4. A depth chart that looks like Arch can start by his second year.
Whether or not the schools that meet these criteria have LSU or Ole Miss on their helmet is not going to matter.

OP.... chances probably haven't improved much from the last 5-10 times that question was asked. But I like LSU's chances of winning another National Championship before that kid graduates versus that kid coming to LSU.

If Myles continues on his current trajectory, every starting qb under Ed at LSU will have cashed NFL checks so

Holy shite, after reading the rest of this thread you’d swear college football has passed up LSU, most teams are running circles around us, the gap between us and the elites is as wide as ever, and we’ve been wallowing in mediocrity for the last 5 years. What fricking program have y’all been watching?
Posted on 10/16/20 at 7:59 am to JEAUXBLEAUX
Very Slim... the QB room will be crowded with Finley, Johnson, Nuss, and Howard.

Everyone discussing LSU's odds of landing arch is vastly overrating the family-pressure-to-ole-miss aspect and vastly underrating the LSU-has-a-likely-5-star-QB-in-the-immediately-preceding-class aspect.
I expect that we will indeed be in it for Arch, but I would be surprised to see him follow immediately after Walker Howard in choosing LSU. That's simply not how QB recruiting works nowadays.

Not sure that applies, anymore. How is Brennan doing? Seems like LSU doesn't have a QB issue, this season....
