Les Miles might be canned at Kansas soon - should we try and reel him in

He would make a great defensive coach - he knows how to stop an offense

Not the day for this.

We have enough coaching problems of our own. Say what you will about Les but he never lost to Troy and never went 1-2 for the first 3 games of the season.

Ed Orgeron has 3 losses at LSU in 4 years that are way more embarrassing than any les loss

Troy?
MSU?
Missouri?

In Miles’ 12 years at LSU, he NEVER LOST TO A TEAM THAT FINISHED YEAR UNRANKED
Les only lost to good teams

Running game coordinator. That man would give his last breath to enjoy a quality running game.

And all that stubborn man had to do was change his damn offense, and he’d still be our head coach right now. Les knew how to sustain a program

He also never played an all-SEC schedule. If Miles had this team with this defense and the way he runs an offense, we would go 0-10.

subconsciously I was expecting this!

On a serious note in 2015 I was hoping Les would ask for, and get, some admin position within LSU. At the time I thought it would be great to keep him within the program and have him still contribute to recruiting (obviously, when recruits visited). Sort of like what Surrier did.

Alas it wasn't to be. With hindsight, I figure he would have had too much influence and 2019 never happens. But I hate to see him go out like this.

Nice revisionist history. I don't think the 2014 Hog team that shut out LSU was ranked. Les got steamrolled by MSU. The 2008 Hog team had a losing record but a win vs Les.
