Pretty interesting stuff.
It is. I hope it translates into votes. Would be interested in the 2016 map just to compare.

Flardah deep red. PN not so much, but you're correct on upper rust belt.

It's interesting how they are looking at "advantage". Those central states which are in the middle of the color spectrum (Nebraska, etc) are all STRONGLY in Trump's favor, donations-wise (Trump has received 67%+ in each of them). If you were to look at it as shaded by percentage of donations in each state, the map gets a LOT darker red.

Yeah the color shading scale should be % of donations as you note...

If that plays in the electoral college. Its 326 trump to 194 biden.

While its nice to see but 60% of Biden's base are not making a single donation. Its not surprising the party of business and money is easily out fundraising the part of free shite.

Am I reading correctly that Cali donations are almost equal?
Posted on 10/7/20 at 10:18 am to SDVTiger
Yep Trump is at 49% of CA donations. That's probably the most shocking result in any state to be honest.

According to that map Biden is barely beating Trump in funds from California ? WTH. Hopefully that map is a indicator of how the election will go.

I would rather see an analysis of the number of donations as opposed to the total amount. I know campaign finance laws even that out a bit, but there could be a lot of Democrats donating $20 while Republicans give the max. Their votes are all equal.
Also, a weird side note: the article linked in that map did an amazing job of picking the photos used to represent each state's detailed analysis. I mean, they should have turned this into a Travel article.

I see Biden's "beach buddies" on the DelMarVa peninsula are coming in strong for socialism .... elites taking care of elites and whatnot ...

Minnesota and Oregon give me hope.

Rest easy my good man; Reps/right leaning types INVEST their money, they don't just spend it.

Just as interesting is the BLUE state donations are closer to a 50-50 split, whereas the RED states are more like 80-20 split.
Illinois, California and Pennsylvania could just as easily be RED. NY looks like 2-1 in favor of Biden.

Arizona, Florida, Texas, Ohio and Georgia mid to deep red is encouraging. Michigan that red is surprising. New Jersey that red is surprising. The only negative is Pennsylvania light blue.

Minnesota coming in hot

Could be misleading; very rich Dem NY types vs. everyday middleclass Rep types.

It's only $100,000 different.
