Slightly yes. Mostly if I have to ride in the back row of an SUV and get super cramped

I actually feel comforted if anything by close confines.

I’m only really freaked out about the thought of squeezing into a small crack in a cave or a pipe or something that can’t be moved and is a really tight space. I don’t get anxious in elevators or anything like that. I’ve never experienced a panic attack, but I get anxious even thinking about really tight situations.

Wasn't as much when I was younger, it has gotten worse since I've gotten older.

Yep!

I don't want to die because they gonna put me in a little bitty box. I'm getting anxious just thinking about it.

In certain cases. Like if I'm playing with my kids and they all decide to pile on me, I'll be good until suddenly panic hits and I'm like the hulk busting through rubble. I also freaked out a few times when replacing a sink and hitting a spot where I felt squeezed on both sides by the cabinet wall and sink parts.

Well then you wouldn't have cared much for a job we used to have to do on C-130's during depot level maintenance.
Fittings which hold the outer wing to the inner wing (FYI pork chop fittings) need eddy current inspection for stress cracks. It's in a fuel tank section and there is only one way in and out of that area . After stepping down through a top access in the top of the wing you have to squeeze through the entry/exit hole.
The area where you do the inspections in all upper and lower corners is roughly the size of two coffins, side by side. And you have to be careful not to damage the fuel lines/controls in that wing section as well while turning and twisting to get to the inspection areas.

This is a pic of the entry area with the panel removed

Fun times....

Nope. Work in a plant and regular inspect equipment some big some small. As long as I have decent air flow I don’t even notice. I have seen a couple BAW’s get in a vessel and start losing their shite just about clawing their way back out.

I openly admit I am claustrophobic.

Pun intended.

Seriously, I have nightmares of getting trapped in a pipe under a road, stuck under a bed, in a dark cave that I can't move, etc.

Yes and no, I can handle somethings but I can't stand to feel trapped and unable to move.

This thread alone has me keyed up. My first panic attack happened at six flags. I was in a ride with the restraint just like I like it, a little wiggle room. I was looking in a different direction when the attendant came by and pushed the bar down two clicks. Something in me just snapped. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I used to joke with my wife about panic attacks. Not any more.

Sometimes I am - like i think it has more to do with air flow

My closet does not have an air vent and if I go in there and someone is behind me - I get dizzy and have to get out

When I had an MRI - I couldn’t do it - I said I didn’t have air so they put a fan on me and I was fine

It might have something to do with my asthma - cuz sometimes I’ll start to wheeze, especially if I’ve convinced myself there’s no air - I guess I’m just nuts

Never had an issue until I had a brain mri. Maybe a 1/2" of space between the machine and my head and they started filling those 1/2" gaps with cushions
