This or the Lexus equivalent would be what I'd look for. The Lexus ones seem to be a better value on the used market.

Used Land Cruiser. $40k will get you a ‘12-‘14 with just under 100k miles.

If you can’t afford the Toyota, buy the Lexus.

At this price point the Lexus front wont be a big deal. The newer front end is a deal breaker.

My son just bought his first vehicle 2 weeks ago - GMC Elevation. Well under $40K before trade and down payment. Its a pretty nice ride. Would recommend.
