According to whom?

The market for used vehicles is at an all time high. LINK

I was casually looking for a slightly used 2019 F150 XLT Crew Cab back in Feb/March. Thought I would be smart and let prices plummet with Covid. They did the opposite. So here I am still in the market for a truck... waiting for prices across the board to drop $5k so I can get the same truck for the prices they went for in March.

If you bought a slightly used vehicle, especially a slightly used truck, within the last 1-2 years, chances are it has appreciated in value up to now.

This won’t last forever. It is an anomaly and it has never happened before. But that’s where we are at.

I have a 2008 4Runner SR5 that I have driven for 11 years, paid 24k for it. KBB is 8k now, 16k of depreciation in 11 years...I'll take that.

I went with a 2WD to save money then, the only reason I want a new ride is for 4WD. It's always worth it, I don't have to have it....but wish I did.

That’s interesting. Low mileage US Gs will be in the $50-60k range, even at that age.

However, no undercarriage shots might be a concern. Gs and Defenders are often locked away at east coast oceanside homes and rust out underneath before any mileage is accumulated. But this would be one to look into if anyone is in the market.

Ya I think i got pretty lucky - got a used 4runner with 130k for $10k out the door in July. Not a whole lot of good options to choose from at that time.

Probably a 4x4 pickup without too many bells and whistles.

Other options would be:
1. 2 door wrangler
2. New 2-door bronco
3. Restored classic muscle car

Is there any way those 4 chevy volts be linked up and turned into a 16 wheeler with an old truck sitting at top to drive.
