That is funny considering what the neighborhood was like when I rented there back in 1999-2000. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)

Can't have any nonconformists engaging in irregular behavior for the neighborhood. They have an image to maintain.

The folks with the Biden signs are probably waiting to see if you take yours down first.

Don’t respond to the apartment management. They didn’t ask for a response and any smartass response, whining about Biden signs, etc is just going to make them escalate quicker.

The “at your earliest convenience” phrase, to me, shows that they don’t really care and are probably just trying to shut up some complainer in the complex.

Create a timeline showing that it can be removed by November 4 and share it if they persist. Include things like “review city permitting process to see if the requested work will require a permit”, “research ways to remove the signage while causing minimal damage to the apartment walls/windows”, etc.

If you are going to talk to other residents, be sure to say that management told you to take down your Biden sign; that’s the only chance you have to get an honest answer.

But for now, a non-lawyer’s opinion is to sit tight.

Earliest convenience is day after the election is decided.
