60.1% would've been good for 30th in the league among qualified QBs last season, 31st in '18. Last time it would've been in the top half of the league was 2003.

He wasn't even that good at USC.

Jesus Christ, he was the only reason Clay Helton didn't get fired. He single-handedly won the Rose Bowl...one of the great Rose Bowls of all-time.

If he wasn't good in College, who the frick was? I tell you, it's the same argument with CFB teams...aw, if you're not in the CFB playoff you suck! Joe Montana and Tom Brady or bust.

I’d take him over that clown Dwayne Haskins.

I'd honestly be surprised if he was starting in New York in 2021. He hasn't played well, he makes shaky decisions and then goes into a shell.

It's not all on him though, his supporting cast from 2018-2020 is borderline worst in that span. He was set up to fail because they didn't even try to build around him. A now fired GM overpaid for LeVeon Bell instead of building a better team around their "franchise QB".

His only 4 WRs today were Chris Hogan, Josh Malone, Braxton Berrios, and Lawrence Cager. This 2020 team was built to tank so they can clean house going into 2021 with a ton of money and draft capital...

Cowherd is at the top of that list.

Everything Gase touches turns to shite. The second Tannehill left him he turned into a good NFL QB.

He got significantly worse from his RS Freshman season to his RS Sophomore season before going pro. He became a turnover machine as he is now in the pros.

He was great in college despite USCw’s decline. Compared to the guy he replaced mid-season (I think it was Max Browne), he was unstoppable and USCw rolled everyone down the stretch. His last year in college there was a slight decline but the roster wasn’t as good and he probably pressed a little.

The Jets FO is trash and have have had terrible injury luck which has torpedoed his rookie QB window, but there’s still time. Their last few drafts have been solid they are just a good HC away from unlocking a decent team.

Still, Darnold hasn’t really shown anything that he deserves the soft touch from the media. Will be interesting to what happens with his 5th year option if they finish 2-14.

Ehh. This year is too early to tell for everybody. Last year is basically just Quinnen Williams so far, they cut the 5th pick of the 3rd round after training camp.

Darnold is dookie. Gase is dookie. The Jets are dookie. The NYC area is full of dookie.

The Jets have been the NFL version of a red shirted crew member of the U.S.S. Enterprise the whole time Darnold has been there. Not being important enough to care about is not the same thing as shielding somebody.

Go ahead and present this "the media has been shielding him" theory to a former New York Yankee or New York Knick and see how long it takes for them to stop laughing at you. No one who plays for a team in New York has been shielded by the media since Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, and Joe Namath.

It's often said that New York is not a college sports town. The Giants and the Jets are going to do their best this year to change that. They look like the two worst teams in the league this year. Also that putrid smell that won't go away next Thursday is not your septic system backing up. It is the Jets-Bronceos game on national television.

It was pretty clear he was a bust when he said he was seeing ghosts on the field.

Berrios is about to replace Edelman as the next great Patriots white slot receiver so put some respect on that man’s name.
