3 INT against a mediocre defense

Did Gase ruin him or did he just suck to begin with?

No. He’s fine. It’s not really his fault.

He has a career completion % of 60.1.

You know who also has that...Jim Kelly.

Well, he's not modern you say.

Well 60.1% is higher than Cam Newton, so there's that.

You don't have to be the next Joe Montana to not be a bust. A bust is someone who really sucks...like JaMarcus Russell or Andre Ware.

He was a turnover machine at USC but that got overlooked because of his physical talent. When he made that "I'm seeing ghost" comment during a game that got picked up by the mics, I knew he was in trouble.

He’s playing exactly how he’s played his whole career.

Gase is awful but I wouldn’t give Darnold a total pass. He’s always been turnover prone and skiddish in the pocket when pressure hits

60% as good in the 80s. It's trash now.

If all Cam gave his teams was his passing it'd be trash for him too.
And I don't even know what Darnold really is because Gase is so bad but if they end up with the #1 pick they should definitely draft Lawrence.

The national media has been shielding him from criticism his entire career.

With Gase and a shitty OL he has no chance

It would be a massive mistake to toss Darnold aside and draft a QB high again. He’s good enough that if you put solid talent around him with a decent coach they can be average.

Get rid of Gase and draft around the QB.

He proved in College he has the physical tools and play-making ability enough to save Clay Helton's job.

But everyone wants the next Mahomes otherwise you're trash...it's ridiculous.

Also keep in mind his college coaching was a joke.

His nfl career hasn’t been good, but the dude probably hasn’t been under the tutelage of competent coaching since high school.

Yep. He has been a bust since his first year as a pro. There is a different excuse every year and he is always on the preseason list of players ready to take the next step. He wasn't even that good at USC. Just another overrated USC QB from the Matt Leinart and Mark Sanchez QB tree. The media gets completely smitten by anyone who plays QB at USC and can win 10 games.

He’s screwed because he’s on the Jets. I think he could be labeled a bust but I also think he could possibly be a journeyman
