The Holodomor killed almost as much if not more than the Holocaust

It’s the Ukrainian famine from 1932–1933 caused by Stalin. We hear more about the Holocaust I think due to the violence involved but the Holodomor gets overlooked but is just as disturbing. 7 to 10 million people starved to death. Plenty of stories of people eating their children. Gruesome stuff and a shame it’s not recognized and taught much. I won’t post pics on here because of how disturbing they are but if you Google search it you can see just how bad things got.

The Holodomor also known as the Famine-Genocide in Ukraine, the Terror-Famine[6][7][8] and sometimes referred to as the Great Famine[9] or the Ukrainian Genocide of 1932–33,[10] was a famine in Soviet Ukraine from 1932 to 1933 that killed millions of Ukrainians. The term Holodomor emphasises the famine's man-made and intentional aspects such as rejection of outside aid, confiscation of all household foodstuffs and restriction of population movement. As part of the wider Soviet famine of 1932–33 which affected the major grain-producing areas of the country, millions of inhabitants of Ukraine, the majority of whom were ethnic Ukrainians, died of starvation in a peacetime catastrophe unprecedented in the history of Ukraine.[11] Since 2006, the Holodomor has been recognized by Ukraine[12] and 15 other countries as a genocide of the Ukrainian people carried out by the Soviet government.[13]

When I think about my education we almost never talked about how many people died at the hands of communist regimes.

I call B.S. on this. White people can't be victims of genocide. Only P.O.C. can claim this distinction. Haven't you been listening?

Aren’t there pictures out there were they have deceased children for sell at a meat cart? Almost like a Shawarma stand in NYC?

The Holodomor is actually very similar to the Irish Potato Famine. In both cases, millions starved to death despite producing more than enough food to feed themselves, and in both cases, it was an authoritarian government confiscating food to purposefully starve them out in favor of the colonizing nation. The only real difference is time and scale (the Irish Potato Famine only killed around 1 million people).
I wonder why the Great Famine in Ireland has never been discussed as Genocide? 1 in 4 Irish died or emigrated from Ireland as a result.

And not only that but the Holodomor actually happened.

only 150k people were killed in the Holodomor and most of them died of disease

the holodomor was awful and is deserving of all the criticism and condemnation we could ever give
but i believe the 7 to 10 million death total is on the higher end of the estimates and that most settle around 3 million

The Holocaust gets more attention because it was an industrialized and well-organized genocide, which is something the world had never seen before. Also the Germans losing helped. The Holodomor is less talked about it because it was an old fashioned famine and Stalin just rerouted food to starve people to death, he didn’t round them up and gas them. Also he won WW2 so people kind of turned a blind eye. Both were horrible

Ethnic Ukrainians are not God’s chosen people so it does not matter. If it did there would be countless documentaries on Ukrainian owned and operated media platforms.
