And the media will gush over “the performance of a lifetime”

As long as he doesn’t drool all over himself, the media will bend over backwards trying to convince everyone how great ole Joe did

I really hope he debates but I’m also waiting for an excuse not to.

Right now Pelosi is back to using the excuse that Biden shouldn't debate because Trump lies. If that is the basis of why Biden should skip the debates, wouldn't it be better for Biden to go to the debates so Trump could spew all of his lies? Then they could "fact check" him and discredit Trump.

Of course, Trump could always defend his "lies" by just laughing awkwardly and repeating "It was a debate"

I hope he backs out. I think if he debates he’ll be energized artificially and will be able to feel his way through with minimal damage. Then he’d have cover to say he’s done debating.

If he backs out it would be a huge automatic W for Trump.

Bar is set pretty low, when all he has to do is show up and he’ll be doing better than we think.

No way he last 90 minutes going toe to toe.

If I was Trump, my strategy for the first 30 minutes would be have short precise answers and let Joe have the time ramble on and on, about half way through start hammering on him after he’s done talked himself out at the beginning.

Even if he got covid. They would just reschedule the debate. It's not like he can dodge all 3 or 40 days before Election Day.

One of the problems with attacking his cognitive awareness is that all he has to do is stand there and acknowledge he is in the right room and he wins. He doesn’t even have to say anything meaningful. All he has to do is speak coherently and he wins.

It won’t be 90 minutes. It might be programmed for 90 minutes of television time but expect 5 minutes of commercial (break time) for every 8 minutes of talking.

No way in hell does Biden debate trump. Something will happen and the Biden campaign will fake moral superiority and not let biden participate in the debate.

Part of me believes that the Biden campaign will fake an assassination attempt.. and Biden campaign will pretend to be shook up and declare that Biden will remain in a safe place until after election day.

The fake assassination attempt will be trumpeted by the media as the most vile thing ever and as something that has never happened before.

It's sad that Democrats are so shady.....that my opinion of the Democrats is so low that I believe that they'd fake something like that.

This. Trump will say something about racial divide, and Biden will yell "it's your fault" and they will play it 1000 times.

If I'm Trump my strategy is to make a snide comment within the first 30 SECONDS to get Joe completely unhinged. Hell, it's not out of the realm of possibility doing so would lead to Joe challenging Trump to a push-up contest or something equally as dumb. Have you seen Joe Biden? He's a lose cannon and will say anything...even it if it blatantly untrue and completely stupid. He's been doing that for years, not just recently.

Joe will react when challenged and no "politician" is better at getting under someone's skin than Trump.

Biden's team are probably prepping him with general stories to tell about certain topics to talk about during the debate. Since dementia patients often have better recall about what happened 20 years ago vs. what happened yesterday, I would guess that his answer will cover what he did 20 years ago vs. current facts.

Also, candidates in such debates often don't really answer the specific questions asked on a topic, but launch into whatever speech that they intend to give on the topic. I predict Biden will take this tactic to a whole new level.

Yeah, Joe’s always been a retard. The dementia is just a recent development that adds another dimension.

The confidence in Biden's ability to handle the job of President hangs by a thread, even among his strongest supporters. It would be a monumental mistake to claim "Covid" in order to skip the debates. He already appears old and weak. Throwing in Covid puts even more doubt in people's minds that he is healthy enough to vote for.

Honestly I believe if he does debate the media will cover for him no matter what. If he screws up they will say it was no big deal and Trump just lies.

I hope Trump goes hard on him quickly....take no prisoners approach.
