It's dumb to say, even if there isn't a white supremacist intent (which is hard not to interpret it as). If he's really a pastor, it's an incredibly unwise thing to do/say and I hope he repents of that.

It's a charged phrase used by racists who believe the white "race" is superior to all others. It's certainly not an attitude a Christian should have. We are taught that there only distinction God makes is between the elect (those with faith) and the reprobate (those without faith). Skin color shouldn't even be brought into the equation when we're talking about the value of people who are all made in God's image.

The "power" part is what I think is the real issue. It's a word of supremacy, not merely pride. That applies to whatever color a person is referring to.

Idc. The black supremacy/white inferiority campaign that our education system, government, Hollywood, corporations and news outlets have been propping up for a few years now... was bound to eventually frick with the minds of some people and radicalize their thinking.

I don't believe in any supremacy. But the more the country focuses solely on skintone, the more people will step forward and become supremacists, for either black or white.
