I know nobody will care—both at the funeral and on this site—but I want to be respectful and adhere to the appropriate societal protocols. I have a black, dark blue, and dark gray/charcoal. All should work, but what is the proper etiquette?

Trust me the dead person doesn’t care which of your 3 suits you wear.

All should work. More important to everyone is that you are there

Traditionally black is worn when mourning, so go with black.

I don’t own a black suit because they’re ugly as sin. Dark charcoal or navy is fine.

I figured as much. Too bad it’s past Labor Day or I’d have broken out the seersucker.

Black is traditionally the standard, but any of these work.

depends... what's the ethnicity of the deceased? traditionally, it's black, but in Asian cultures it's white... guess we need more information...
