* Criminal penalties for disorderly assemblies, using RICO to hold those who fund it accountable.
* Felonies for incapacitating roadways
* Prohibition and penalties on toppling monuments and public property
* Prohibition on harassing people
* Mandatory minimum jail sentence of 6 months for anyone in anyway involved in throwing stuff at officers, with enhanced penalties applied to assault and battery
* No bail
* Extra penalties for those from out of state involved in disorderly conduct
* Not allowing communities to defund the police. If they defund the police, the state defunds them
* The state will waive sovereign immunity and allow victims to sue communities who fail to protect them and property.

He's being proactive to protect our tourism industry that is already reeling from the pandemic as well as any potential BS that will come when Trump wins in November.

Fixed it for you. His solutions do nothing to fix the problems and only create more problems, but yeah, keep believing that Side A is correct and Side B is wrong.

On yesterday's local news they said they were also going to withhold welfare benefits from those committing crimes.

They were also going to take away any criminal charges for drivers running down pedestrians that were illegally blocking roads.

that’s the way it should be in every state.

want to burn, loot, destroy, and terrorize people all because of a false narrative and your feewings? Prepare to spend some time behind bars.

Agree except for the one about defunding the police. That one is too vague and ignores the reality of the budgeting process. If there is wasteful or unnecessary spending in a police department, shouldn’t you be able to reduce the PD budget and reallocate that money to the fire department, for example, or just reduce taxes?

Those are all fantastic, but this one takes the cake:
quote:

* The state will waive sovereign immunity and allow victims to sue communities who fail to protect them and property.

Although that could end up being a slippery slope, making mayors, city/county councils, etc. be more accountable for the safety of their citizens is awesome. Now ones that sit back and allow it to happen (or even encourage it) can be held accountable.

The Federal Government ought to follow suit, too.

It's wild that this doesn't even exist until now and won't ever exist in some of the worse offending cities

I like DeSantis a lot. This is awesome legislation that is needed right now to make sure we don't have any Seattle or Portland type of shite here.

There are also enhanced penalties for out of state people who get busted doing this.

Fantastic. The out of state protesters will move along to easier targets. This is how you handle paid protesters.
