All serious now (on page 2),
I have a fear of choking or my kids choking.

I also have a fear of heights if I’m not in control, such as a manlift. I’ve been in 120ft manlifts that never bothered me because I was operating it. I will not get in a 39ft manlift with someone unless I can operate it. Flying doesn’t bother me.
I once had a mild panic attack in an elevator in Oklahoma City. It was a government building downtown OK City, five years after the bombing. I was going to the 10th floor or so.
Other than that one time, tall buildings and elevators don’t bother me.

Seaweed. The lake I swam at as a kid had a diving raft, occasionally I would dive off and go face first into that crap, or be treading water and feel it brush my foot.

I don't care about it washed up on shore, and I love eating seaweed salad, but the stuff under the surface? Not for me.

Big water. I'll still go out, but when I start to think about it, it gives me the hibbie jibbies

Carnies. Circus folk. Nomads, you know. Smell like cabbage. Small hands.

I have a foot phobia. Feet are the nastiest part of the human body and someone with jacked up toes makes me gag.

Used to be snakes, but increased exposure is helping

I had a spider walk across my dash on the interstate this morning and I almost wrecked

I don't like being surprised by one but I'm fine if I see them first.

I'm not extremely claustrophobic but reading about the Nutty Putty Cave incident gave me nightmares.

I have an irrational fear of roaches. The big ones.

It’s not an “eww icky!” kind of thing. I damn near start hyperventilating when there’s one in the house. Even if it’s right there easy to stomp on, I can’t do it. And if I do see one, and even if my wife kills it, I’m on edge every time I return to that room and constantly look around to see if another one is there.

It’s silly, really.

And it’s why I tell my pest control guy to turn the spray to 11.

deep water

the thought of slowly sinking in the abyss, watching the light slowly fade to darkness, is my biggest nightmare

I was kayaking with a friend one time near Seattle and my friend just casually told me that we were in like 800 ft of water and I completely froze up and had to paddle back to shore
