I find it entertaining that so many people associate RBG with Roe.

RBG joined the Court two DECADES after Roe was decided.

Roe was decided by a GOP-nominated majority and written by a GOP-nominated Justice.

$100 says that the majority of sky-screaming abortion opponents are unaware of EITHER of these facts.

Everyone knows that. We aren't low-IQ libs. Roe was almost 50 years ago.

Regardless, RBG was the most publicly outspoken, ardent defender of abortion on the court since Roe was decided (along with a multitude of other left-wing issues).

Roe isn’t getting overturned. All the arguments against abortion have been made and rejected. There’s nothing new to argue unless science somehow determines that life does begin at conception. I think the pro choice folks don’t realize that they have won the argument.

I think more than a couple of them have had them, and plenty more had scares where they considered

When did science determine it doesn't?

I do not believe the majority of Americans understand how extreme the democrat stance on abortion is in 2020. I also don't think Biden wants to go on record supporting post-birth abortions like many in his party support.

It's obvious that you don't understand the Dems stance on abortion either. Post birth abortions??

Pretty ignorant.

Clarify it.

Where do they stand? Please help me understand, Tex.

Where do the Dems stand? Where do you stand?

Who rejected them? Over 80% of Americans are in favor of restricting abortion, including almost 60% who believe abortion should be limited to the 1st trimester.

Doesn't seem like the pro-abortion people have won any arguments.

The Courts have consistently rejected new laws intended to restrict abortion. The Courts are the only opinion that matters, public opinion means nothing. What new argument can be made?

Biden has said more than once that he wants to codify Roe v. Wade by passing a law with similar provisions.

I think the Republicans are disingenuous when claiming Dems are in favor of third trimester abortions, or even more insidiously, that Dems would allow abortions post birth (which, of course is not even an abortion, but infanticide).

The Virginia law that Repubs complained about as legitimizing infanticide (but, it didn't), was never passed. The law that was passed in the Dem controlled Virginia legislature, did not change the previous Repub-passed law as it pertained to 2nd and 3rd term abortions.

If Roe is overturned, that only shifts the decision back to the states.

But if the SCOTUS decides life begins at conception, then unborn babies would also have rights. Harry Blackmun admitted as much in his decision.

Life begins at conception. The moment a cell is created, that cell is a living thing. I do think it’s hypocritical that the senate will vote on a pick this close to election after McConnell said no at the end of Obama’s term, but if it saves the lives of babies, I’m all for being a hypocrite.

For Republicans. In social conservative states in the south it may play well, but not really anywhere else. Get the popcorn ready.

Totally agree. There is not one poll that shows more than 40% of Americans are pro life.

Republicans have a golden opportunity with the democrats so unmotivated by their presidential candidate. So start a civil war on this one issue is stupid.

There are a lot of moderates on this issue. People who might be pro choice but not pro abortion. The democrats are hardcore pro abortion!

So give independents, libertarians, Asians and Jews motivation to not vote for you?

Motivate feminists who do not like Joe Biden to make sure they go out and vote?

Where are you getting these polls? You did not link them. Every poll ever taken shows that 60% of Americans do not want Roe overturned. A recent Quinnipiac poll showed 63%.

You think that does not matter in an election cycle?

Allow Joe Biden to win on one issue. Joe Biden president because a bunch of retards decided to fall on their sword for this one issue!!!! Real smart.
