Wow...I didn't see that coming...LOL

In early numbers, the primetime NBC game scored a 5.2 among adults 18-49 and 16.4 million viewers between 8 – 11 PM ET.
Now, those numbers for the 8:25 – 11:30 PM ET game itself will certainly be adjusted upward later, but right now that’s a 16.1% drop over the spectacle of the September 5, 2019 season opener among the advertiser rich demographic. In an America still adjusting to the new normal of live sports in the era of COVID-19, last night’s Kansas City victory also fell 16.1% in total sets of eyeballs from last year’s fast affiliate results – but remember, those numbers will change later today.

KC had less than 17000 fans and you could hear them booing when they did the moment of silence for the racial equality. Tone deaf corporation is tone deaf.

Seems like this was easily predictable after the NBA theories of COVID causing a decline in ratings.

The Corporate Leaders have lost focus of building shareholder equity (the true purpose of any business) and living in echo chambers have gone all in on virtue signaling.

Hmm, seems like viewership should be up.
-More people at home.
-Less distractions such as dining out, concerts, events.
-Limited tickets to view in person.
For the life of me, I don't understand why ratings aren't sky high.

And the thing is, this is a time where ratings should be way up given the fact that American sports fans are craving real games and the normalcy of watching football.

I watched it along with all of my friends, but we don't really get upset or offended over minor shite.
During the national anthem KC stood up, HOU stayed in the locker room. Then HOU came out, the teams lined up as one and it was said they are making awareness of racism and injustice.. no mention of BLM.
And if you put it like that, I am against racism and injustice. I would think most people are right?
Then at halftime, right at the end they mentioned something about it and that was pretty much it. If anyone was upset over that then they are just looking to be offended. People will start watching as the season goes on.

Except it was on the screen at the game. Which is what apparently elicited the boos after an extended bit of quiet.

I really, really, really hope the NFL loses billions of dollars this year.

These numbers will be "massaged" later in the day. By Monday all you will here on every television station, is that the NFL ratings are a roaring success, a huge hit. I do not have the ratings industry expertise to tell the narrative from the truth. All I know is we have people both starving for football and we have Americans who do not want to reward the NFL for it's pseudo-Marxist flavor. Two distinct camps. It's not likely that the NFL/Nielson etc will hand any victories to people they view as the enemy though.
TLDR-The numbers will be massaged.

Good for you, Wheelie.
If it were up to those people they would release your brake and roll your arse right off the nearest cliff, honky.
