I think you may need to clarify "in" or "out."

As far as watching the NFL, I am out.

As far as the protest, I am in - even though I am not really protesting so much as trying not to throw up.

I'll be at my kid's football game. When I get home I'll turn it on. If I'm looking at BLM shite on the field, or on jersy's, or the announcers are talking about BLM shite, I'm checking out. Same with college football when it starts.

Part of me wants to, but everytime I get there, the NFL or a player does or says something that just makes me shake my head and say, nah.

Not protesting it, just out. I like my politics and my sports seperate. It's like if I put my wife and my GF in the same room.

Protest makes it sound like if they'd suddenly do something different or apologize or something I'd feel like I won something and would start watching again.

For me anyway, there's nothing they can do or say to lure me back. If they recanted it all, I'd question their character (like Brees) and if they just let it fade away I'd question their resolve.

They made their bed, and now they can lie in it. Fortunately, the virus shutdown helped snap me out of my need to be entertained by sports.

I curious to see just how bad the politics and racist propaganda are tonight before I write off the whole season. I might watch the first quarter.

Just use the upvote / downvote. I don't think everyone understands what you mean by In or Out.

Upvote: pretest

Downvote: watching

Can I ask you a question?

I'm sincerely asking this. Is it that the things that the leagues and players have been doing don't really rise to the level of you feeling that mad about it? Or do you really dislike it, but don't feel you have the desire or willpower to resist watching?

Again... don't mean this as a shot. I've seen this same sentiment a bunch and I'm interested in where most stand who say it.
