You're arguing two entirely different arguments right now. In Louisiana, there's a statewide mandate that says we have to wear it. Whether we agree with it or not, we have to. Personally, I think the whole thing is full of shite. Between me and you, I had the virus back in March/April and there's no need for me to wear it. And even if I never had the virus, I still think it's a bit on the ridiculous side this late in the game that everybody is still wearing one. That's my very own personal opinion. That's argument one.
Argument two, I wear one out in public because the state made it mandatory. Sure, I could be a douche and refuse to wear one and cause a scene while going back and forth with somebody, etc. But I don't want to do that, and don't want to be "that guy". So, I opt to put it on. That's not being a sheep. It's not being an idiot douchebag going against a statewide mandate.
