Do you have a family member on the opposite side of the aisle?

I like to think of myself as a decent guy, but my support for President Trump has my mother, "questioning my moral compass."

It's frustrating to see how much she has been brain washed by CNN. I really don't believe there is any policy she sides with Biden on, but she just automatically thinks Orange Man Bad. When I try to have an actual political discussion with her, she freaks out.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Lots of relationships I’ve said goodbye to over the past four years.

But it’s not really about politics. They’re shitty people. It’s just the way they handle politics really makes it clear.

No one close, except my sister who I rarely talk to. And she’s more flower child, and not really political.

Of course some distant cousins, aunts, etc.

Sure do. They're awful, no matter what trump does they continue to explain how it's ok and he's doing so many nonspecific good things

My in-laws. Makes for uncomfortable visits when my mother in law goes off. My husband had to tell her to chill one day — she was getting very worked up. Glad I wasn’t there that day. When my brother in law is there he enjoys egging it on. Lol.

They watch cnn. Enough said.

Yes who said that they liked Trump lol. Then he won and in a matter of seconds became Hitler/Satan. TDS truly is a mental disorder.

Yes, all the in-laws except my wife’s sister. It gets pretty heated when they come around. I don’t let them watch cnn in my house and tell them Trump is doing a great job which really pisses them off

The amount of time that she's invested in this race makes me sad. I called to tell her about her granddaughter due in a couple of weeks. Her excitement lasted about 2 minutes before she started going off about this Bob Woodward BS.

Yep. They treat it as only Republicans or conservatives have ever used harsh words or had flaws. They act like all democrats have class. It is hilarious.

All my in-laws are dems. Wifey (no pics) is a conservative who loves going with me to the shooting range to her families shock...

Yep - wife hates, hates, hates Trump. When I ask her why, she says because he's a racist. When I ask her what has he done to make you think he's a racist, she clams up.

She also claims to be "fiscally conservative and socially liberal". When I explain that these two objectives are contradictory she clams up.

She is an Auburn grad, so maybe she can get a refund

Yes I do when a news story breaks about trump I turn to CNN when the family member calls they parrot the talking points, I never talk or bring up politics but it consumes the relative, they are old so I just let them vent but I do look at them differently

Bought two more USA Trump hats to wear to the beach in 2 weeks to piss my in laws off.

They sit home all day brainwashing on the CNN drug.

I have 2 uncles that are democrats. One you can’t really talk to, the other is really a centrist, gun owning, patriotic, anti-communist, free market independent, who votes democrat because his daddy did. It’s baffling.
