Bought my first ever power ball ticket for tonight’s drawing

I stopped at circle K and I just bought my first ever powerball ticket. Has anyone in Louisiana or Baton Rouge ever won? They looked at me stupid when I was signing my ticket at the register. But aren’t you supposed to sign it now? I’m not a gambler but that’s what the sign says on the blotter.
I bought the ticket and my numbers are the following
18 28 42 53 57. Powerball 16
Is this really man against the machine for $2?
It’s not as exciting as I thought it would be. who else plays this crap?
