Someone in the comments mentioned “EMOM” for tomorrow’s doubles.

Might strive for that.

I think that’s my strategy going in and I’ll adjust based on feel.

Yea if I remember correctly that’s what I did last year for the double and the triples.

Real ballers will do a Jose and never rack the bar.

I really don't like the pressure cooker. Doubles weren't that bad. Triples were the worst.

I'm going to get up at 4AM and head out to the garage and knock it out. Looks like a pretty short workout, overall. Maybe 40 minutes with the warmup included. I'll add some stretching and empty bar lifts with my warmup squats.

Day 8 in the books.

I still hate the pressure cooker. I pushed up 17 sets at 245lbs. Not as much weight as last year, but I'm glad to knock it out.

I've been nursing my way through a sore back, but it's actually feeling a little better. Hoping to gain some of the strength back now.

By the way, this cardio was rough. 15 reps was a lot. Finished with 5 sets and my arms pissed off at me.

whoa, that's awesome!

I thought I managed well with 8 sets of 275 pounds since my 1RM was 176 after COVID in April this year.

My arms felt that pump of 6 supersets in that cardio!

After Friday, I was a bit sore and tender in my quads and lower back. I was intimidated by today, but after eating thick, walking 20k and had a weekend away with family, I loved today.

Wife has been loving coming along for the cool down 40min walks. I know AA prefers the recovery walk at the opposite end of the day, but taking one after the PM training session works better for time to sleep in. It's daylight saving and Spring here in Aus, so it's still day light late.

Got a in body scan and after after 4 weeks of PPSA's Brace Yourself, it's Coming and this first week of Squatober, I have shredded 12 pounds of fat. I have been watching my cals with the intake of my BMR while getting in my macros via MyFitnessPal Premium.

My biggest learning curve so far is letting go of the ego in PPSA's programming, and focusing on form and enjoying the heart rate roller coaster, especially after long COVID symptoms like fatigue and shortness of breath lasted a few months.

Well that got the heart rate moving!

12 sets at 340.

But this arm pump is intense after 8 sets. Definitely struggling to straighten the arms out after typing this shite!

I did EMOM 10@250
That minute goes by fast.

I only got 4 sets on the cardio. Once again I think I went to high on curls. First set was ok but struggled on the others.

Day 8 down.

I think I underestimated my TM. I hit 12 sets @ 215 (255TM). That was actually easier than the 5 sets of cardio in 7 min.

This is my first Squatober, when does Aaron usually to a test for adjustment?

Week 2 Day 1 complete

Did EMOM 10 rounds at 255. Could have probably done 1-2 more sets at 45 seconds rest but happy with the 10 rounds

Cardio did 6 rounds. Great pump!

You haven't seen anything yet. There are several workout monsters that post here that will blow that away with a lot more weight.

I hate doing these and the triples will suck even worse. I'm going to look for my training log from last Squatober and see how many sets I got.

Edit...I got 14 sets @ 250lbs last year so I actually beat 2022. Time to reward myself with a steak!

12 at 220. Felt solid.

5 rounds of cardio. Had to cheat on the last 5 curl reps only using the bar.

12 rounds at 230#. I battled injuries over the summer so I erred on the too light side for my TMs for squat/bench/DL. Will be interested to see how the retest goes later in the week.

6 rounds on cardio. Had to drop 10 pounds off the curls for the last 2 sets

12 rounds at 325. I was absolutely done at the end.

6 rounds on the cardio and I had to drop weight on the curls.
